It's fairly common when creating a template to need to refer to other tasks within the template. The best way to do this is to insert a link to the task inside a Text Section.


If you just typed in plain text: "Refer back to Task 4", and later on the template is edited and new task(s) are inserted before Task 4, it will no longer be Task 4, so your instructions will become confusing.


Here's how to dynamically link between tasks, so you never have to worry about the task order changing in the future and your instructions becoming obsolete.


In this example, we want to refer back to Task 1 from Task 2.


First, copy the full URL of Task 1 from your browser's address bar to the clipboard:


Then, in a Text Section in Task 2, paste this URL (it will automatically appear as hyperlinked text with the name of the task its linked to):
